Hank was fixin for a special day at the auction house, not the blue light K-Mart kind of special, nor the kind of special Hank typically enjoyed at the local Red Line diner with their blue plate special, no this kind of special involved no primary colors whatsoever. This was a different special, an old timey special, a special from the good old days of sepia tone and monochrome, before those snotty college bred marketing hooligans started mucking up the country with their liberal use of the forsaken color pallet plastered shamelessly across billboard display sinages, vacuum devices, and music playback doohickeys alike. It was a special auction day indeed, from a time where boys were boys, girls were girls, men were men, and women did what they were told without hesitation, unlike that uppity Barbara broad from the Red Line diner, who made Hank wait for nearly 8 minutes to fill his coffee while she chatted with some other broad, probably about her unmentionable female problems, or so Hank assumed. Disgraceful.
