Design a Glossy Photoshop Web 2.0 Logo - Orb Style!

Adding a web 2.0 style logo added into your website template is a brilliant idea! Here, in this tutorial you will learn how to make a juicy web 2.0 style logo. Creating this logo does not require any filters or effects, it's all about simple!

Now let’s start with a new page size 200X200 pixel. Add a new layer and draw a circle using the Elliptical Marquee Tool

Note: Click on the small arrow below the Rectanglar Marquee Tool to
select the Ellitical Marquee Tool, as by default at the tool bar it only
show the Rectangular Marquee Tool, if you can’t find the Elliptical Marquee Tool.

Now fill the circle selection with a linear gradient green (#c6ff00 to #6db00a) pull the gradient from top to bottom of the circle.

Note: You can select the gradient style at the gradient option bar.

Then hold on to the ctrl-key and click on the layer to give the circle a selection. Then click Select > Modify >Contract by 4px and filled it with a darker green #63a70b. Still having the selection click Select > Modify > Contract and this time give it a 6px. Then move the selection slighty to the top, like the step below.

Press the delete key to delete away the selection so now you have a cresent. Now change the blending mode to Soft Light. Duplicate the layer that have the cresent and lock the transparent layer.

Then fill it with a brighter green #9ddb05 for another set of shadow for the circle, after that unlock the transparent layer and click Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur. Now set the layer blending mode to Soft Light as well and the opacity to 50%. Then move the layer to the bottom of the 1st cresent shadow

Now to give the logo some glow, use the brush tool set the diameter to 100px and use select whilte color. Click the brush once at the top left of the logo. Remember to add a new layer for the glow.

Now at the very top of all layers add another new layer for another set of glow. Use the Elliptical Marquee Tool, draw a circle larger than the logo itself and filled it with white color.

After that set the layer opacity to 22% and move it slight lower , just the the step below. Then add a layer mask and mask both corner of the glow, so that it blend in.

Now at the very bottom of all layer, add another new layer for the border of the logo. Make a selection by hold on the control key and click on the first layer which contains the circle. Then click Select > Modify > Expand by 4px and filled the selection with the darker green #94c54e. Now double click the layer to add some drop shadow and stroke effect for the border.

Now for the final steps, lets add some graphic for your logo. Click on the Custom Shape Tool and select the flower shape. Add another new layer between the cresent shadow 2 and the base. Now draw 3 different size of flowers and then set the opacity to 44%. After that make a selection of the base and click Select Inverse and hit the delete key of the flower that are outside the base. And you will have the result as below.
